A walker was airlifted from a Highland mountain yesterday after injuring his leg in a fall.

Braemar and the Grampian Police Mountain Rescue Teams went to the man’s aid on Saturday afternoon after the incident in which he fell while descending the 1,155m (3,790ft) peak in Aberdeenshire.

He was taken by helicopter from the mountain after suffering a suspected broken leg and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
