Police have named the man who died on Aonach Eagach on Saturday.

David Candlish, of Mid Brae, Dunfermline, Fife, fell while descending the Clachaig Gully with two other walkers. The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after falling about 60m (200ft) after traversing the ridge.

Members of the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team went to his aid, along with the crew of a Royal Navy Sea King helicopter.

A report into the incident was sent to the Fort William procurator fiscal.
