An RAF Sea King helicopter is helping in the search

Mountain rescue team members have joined a search on the River Spey for a man missing after being swept away.

The incident was reported shortly after 11am today near to the Spey Bridge of Advie, north-east of Grantown-on-Spey.

Glenmore Lodge Mountain Rescue Team has joined staff from the Coastguard, an RAF Sea King helicopter from Lossiemouth, a police search adviser and a dog team in the search downstream of the bridge.

A spokesperson for Northern Constabulary, which is coordinating the search, said no further details were available at present.
