Blencathra, where Mr Keetley's body was found

Police have named the walker whose body was found this morning on a Lake District fell.

Robert Keetley, 51, of West Bridgford, Nottingham, was reported missing by his wife when he failed to return from a walk on Blencathra yesterday evening.

His body was found by mountain rescuers after a major search last night which resumed this morning at 6 o’clock and which involved teams from Keswick, Penrith and Kirkby Stephen.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Constabulary said: “Police believe there are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and the case will be passed to the coroner.”
