The prizes on offer to 10 winners each month

Visitors to an industry group’s website can get a kick-start to their walking by winning a package of gear.

The Active Guide is run by the Outdoor Industries Association and billed by the trade body as a one-stop shop for activities, services and guides to the great outdoors.

Each month, 10 competition winners can each walk away with a pair of Hi-Tec Altitude IV NT boots, Vango Walker walking poles and Bridgedale Trekker socks in a promotion running though August, September and October.

The goodies are worth £135 and entrants just have to enter their name and details for a chance of winning.

The Active Guide was launched last year by the OIA, which represents manufacturers, retailers, activity providers and other companies in the outdoor sector, including grough.
