A woman taking part in a team-building exercise was airlifted to hospital after suffering a leg injury.
The 30-year-old Doncaster woman slipped on rocks near the top of Padley Gorge near Grindleford in the Peak District yesterday.
Edale Mountain Rescue Team was called out to help the woman, who had, according to Charlie Bartlett of the team, ‘sustained a nasty fracture dislocation of the ankle’.
Mr Bartlett said: “A mountain rescue team doctor was able to straighten the dislocated ankle and restore circulation to the woman’s foot, before she was carried by the team to the Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
“She was then given further treatment for her injuries at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.”
