A Borders town will host a showing of a major mountain biking film as a follow-on from the successful TweedLove bike festival.

Peebles Eastgate Theatre is the venue for From the Inside Out, which is being screened as part of the European premiere tour of the Canadian-produced movie.

Mountain biking short films will also feature in the 12 December evening, along with competitions, giveaways and festive activities provided by TweedLove organisers.

The organisers’ Neil Dalgleish said: “We’re delighted to be able to show this film, and we’ll take the opportunity for some festive fun on the evening of the showing too.

“As a bit of a Christmas bonus, the tickets for the Eastgate showing are about £2 cheaper than the average ticket price at the bigger city showings.”

From the Inside Out’ is a collaboration between Anthill Films and the Coastal Crew, both based in British Columbia in Canada.

Organisers of the showing said: “The new film does not disappoint, and showcases some of the world’s best riders, doing it like only they can in some amazing, stunning, hand-picked locations around their native British Columbia, a province of Canada which is almost four times the size of the UK, and features almost every kind of landscape imaginable.”

Tickets for the evening cost £6.50. More details are available on the Eastgate Theatre website.
