A climber was rescued from a Highland munro after falling 120 ft and suffering injuries yesterday.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was aided by the Nevis Range ski patrol following the incident on Aonach Mòr about 1.30pm.

The climber was on the grade III Tunnel Vision route when the 60m fall happened.

The rescue team used the ski resort gondola to get part way up the mountain and were joined by patrol members in treating him at the scene before carrying the climber down to Coire an Lochain where a Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth had landed.

The aircraft then flew the injured climber to Belford Hospital in Fort William for further treatment.
