A woman is urging the public to enter an online auction – to push her off a cliff.
Elspeth Hardie of the Severn Area Rescue Association will be one of the first to try a new zip-wire at a diving centre in Chepstow, and is offering an eBay bid winner the chance to give her a helping hand.
The 720m zip-wire crosses the quarry at the National Dive Centre in south Wales.
Ms Hardie said: “I am not going to be able to take that last step to take me over the edge, so here is the once in a lifetime opportunity to push me off a cliff.
“The winning bidder will be able to push me off a cliff and watch me speed across a flooded quarry 720m to the other end.”
Cash from the eBay auction will go towards funding the voluntary rescue association, which carries out searches and rescues both on the water and on land from the Severn Estuary to Shrewsbury.
Ms Hardie has also set up a justgiving site which has so far raised £120 for the team.
eBay bidding closes on Friday afternoon and the top offer at the time of writing was £36. The auction winner will need to be able to get to the Chepstow venue on Saturday at 3.20pm to give a final push to Ms Hardie’s fundraising effort.
