A pair of KEEN Alasmosa Mid hiking shoes was the prize in our competition

One lucky grough reader has won a pair of KEEN Alamosa Mid off-road hiking shoes in our competition.

We chose the winner’s name at random from hundreds of entrants who correctly said the KEEN-sponsored Respect the Mountains Envirotrek Clean-Up would take place in the Peak District.

On offer was a pair of slimline, lightweight shoes worth £105.

Engineered to deliver comfort all day long, the Alamosa features a waterproof Nubuck and leather mesh upper that protects and keeps feet cool and dry in all conditions.

KEEN’s dual density EVA footbed cradles the foot and gives excellent arch support, while an adjustable multi-point lacing system ensures a close and secure fit.

Agile and lightweight, the Alamosa features a compression moulded EVA and PU midsole to deliver superb shock absorption on even the most arduous terrain.

TPU shanks in the side and midfoot of the outsole give great torsional stability, with an EVA heel insert providing uncompromising cushioning whatever you should encounter underfoot.

Topped off with a torsion resistant carbon rubber outsole with 4mm multi-directional lugs for rugged traction, the Alamosa is the ultimate fast and light tool for all your off-road adventures this summer.

Available in both men and women’s specific fits in sizes 8-12 and 4-12 respectively, the Alamosa Mid prize was won by John Tingay of Sheffield.

More details of the Alamosa Mid are on the KEEN website.
