Two more people have been airlifted to hospital after an avalanche in the Cairngorms.

One man was flown to hospital earlier following the incident in the Chalamain Gap.

Northern Constabulary said the two were airlifted to hospital in Aberdeen Royal.

A police spokesperson said: “Their conditions are not known at this time.

“One man had already been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary earlier. His condition is not known at this time.

“There is no further information at this time.”
