Berghaus’s new range of lightweight boots will feature its own AQ waterproofing.

Four models are due in the shops next month, two men’s and two women’s, aimed at the moderate hiking market.

The Expeditor boots are based on the Explorer range last and are described by the company as two- to three-season footwear.

The AQ waterproof and breathable linings will appear in both the leather and suede versions of the boots.

Berghaus said the boot range, featuring its Ergonomic Holding System lacing, deliver great comfort and performance on fell or field.

A dual density Berghaus Dual Core midsole allows for a soft heel strike and foot-flex, but with firmness in the midfoot for good torsional rigidity, it added.

The combination encourages a natural and comfortable walking momentum, while underfoot the Opti-Stud Hiking sole unit provides great security and grip.

Added comfort comes from a single-density open cell breathable footbed. Berghaus said: “Feet stay dry and comfortable thanks to the inclusion of a membrane incorporating Berghaus’s own waterproof and breathable AQ technology.
