Police said their extensive search for missing walker Clive Dennier is continuing.

Mr Dennier, 50, a journalist on the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald, has now been missing for a week.

His car was found in the Kinloch Hourn area on Friday, after police appealed to the public to be on the lookout for either the missing walker or his vehicle.

Northern Constabulary said searches on Friday and Saturday were focused on the Knoydart Peninsula, Kinloch Hourn, Barrisdale and Glen Quoich.

“The search is being coordinated by Northern Constabulary with searches being carried out by Glenelg, Kintail and Royal Air Force mountain rescue teams, Coastguard and police dog units.

“Skywatch have provided assistance with aerial searching.”
