Police are appealing for help in finding a keen walker who has gone missing.

Susan Jane Wright has not been seen for more than a week, and North Wales Police say they are increasingly concerned for her safety.

She was last seen at her home in Carmel, near Caernarfon at 6pm on Friday, 29 March, and has not been sighted since.

Ms Wright is described as white, about 5ft 10ins (178cm) tall with dark brown shoulder-length hair which is greying.

She is also described as having a fair complexion, green coloured eyes and may possibly be wearing glasses with a pink charm on them.

The 59-year-old is believed to be wearing a dark green/grey Puffa-style jacket and is possibly wearing walking boots.

Chief Inspector Simon Barrasford of North Wales Police said: “Susan was last seen on Friday evening, 29 March, and we are growing increasingly concerned for her safety and welfare.

“Her disappearance is completely out of character.

“Extensive inquiries are continuing. We know Susan liked walking and as such we are appealing to anyone who believes they have seen Susan or who may know of her whereabouts to contact us immediately on 101.”

Members of the public can also ring North Wales Police on 0300 330 0101 if they have any information about Susan Wright.
