An annual outdoor gathering for gay and bisexual men will take place in north Wales this year.

The OutdoorLads charity’s Big Spring Camp will run over the spring bank holiday weekend at the end of May at Llanrwst.

An OutdoorLads spokesman said: “Led by OutdoorLads’ fully trained leaders, you can enjoy leisurely half-day walks or hard-core treks up the highest mountain in Wales.”

Other activities on offer over the three-day gathering include rock-climbing, mountain biking through the forest, canoeing, whitewater rafting, gorge walking, sea traversing, and an underground trip to explore a disused mine.

A bar, hot meals, hot showers and an evening dance are also on offer after the outdoor activities end.

After a long day out, come back to camp to enjoy a range of hot meals, fully stocked bar, hot showers and later into the evening dance till the early hours at the OutdoorLads party.

The event starts at 2pm on Friday 24 May with a limit of 300 people. Cost is £50 per person, with discounts for full members and concessions also available for students, young people and jobseekers.

More details are on the OutdoorLads website.
