Switzerland-based outdoor brand Odlo has announced a partnership with Gore for its new clothing range.

A licensing agreement will see the company use Gore-Tex and Windstopper materials in its outdoor, running and bike ranges.

Odlo said: “In the bike and running divisions, where breathability and windproofing are seen as essential features, Odlo uses the high quality Windstopper laminate.

“For the Outdoor collection, on the other hand, the extremely waterproof Gore-Tex fabrics are much in demand.

“This partnership sees collaboration between the experienced 3-layer expert Odlo, which develops over 80 per cent of its own materials in-house, and the world’s largest 3-layer specialists – a winning combination.”

Odlo’s new running gear has been designed particularly to appeal to women.

A spokesperson said: “The desire for variety, along with influences from the world of fashion, have been instrumental in the development of our running collection, hence the introduction of the unique, trendsetting and extremely eye-catching Convertible range.

“The Convertible Shirt, a lightweight running top with integrated bra and a long-sleeved bolero, can be worn together as a single garment, but both the tank top and the bolero can be worn separately or in combination with other products.

“Another excellent feature of the Convertible Shirt is its optimum wicking capacity, preventing the build-up of body odour.

“The reversible Convertible Jacket and Convertible Shorts along with the Shirt form a trendy and highly versatile set of clothing: the three reversible parts provide constant variety.

“The Convertible range was designed for female runners and will allow even the most ambitious sportswomen to feel utterly feminine.”

The brand has also introduced a lightweight, summer version of its evolution greentec underwear.

Odlo says the seamless base layers are completely recyclable and it claims they are the most environmentally friendly functional sports underwear on the market.

“A sustainable and durable product, which uses comparatively low levels of water, CO² emissions, chemicals, dyes and energy in its production without compromising any of its functionality, evolution greentec also offers outstanding climate regulation, maximum freedom of movement and a perfect fit – making it the ideal underwear for responsible sportsmen and women.”

It added: “The polyester used – exclusively recyclable, pure grade waste – can be maintained in the cycle without any reduction in quality. evolution greentec is the perfect combination of 100 per cent function and sustainability.”
