Police are appealing for sightings of a man who has been reported missing while on a walking trip to the Highlands.

Dale Finnie, 26, failed to make contact with his family.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said he was reported missing yesterday and is believed to have headed to the Lochinver or Glen Affric area.

Mr Finnie is described as 6ft (183cm) tall, of slim build and with short brown hair. He was driving a silver and blue Peugeot 206 with the registration number KE02 FRP.

Police said he intended to do some walking and climbing.

The spokesperson said: “Anyone with information regarding Dale’s whereabouts or has information regarding the car he was driving is urged to contact Police on 101.”
