Two walkers were led to safety after getting into difficulties on a munro in Easter Ross.

Members of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team helped the two from Ben Wyvis after they rang for help yesterday.

A search and rescue operation was also involved in the operation on the 1,046m (3,432ft) mountain, north-west of Dingwall.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police would remind anybody who ventures into the hills to be appropriately clothed, carry sufficient supplies and check weather conditions as they differ significantly during the ascent.”
