A Yorkshire outdoors gear manufacturer is due to unveil the world’s biggest sleeping bag at a sports ground today.

Silsden-based Snugpak will unroll the 80kg bag at rugby league club Bradford Bulls’ stadium to mark a homeless charity’s annual event.

Rugby legend Robbie Hunter-Paul will join 21 Bradford players with the 20m-long, fully functioning sleeping bag, which will cover a third of the pitch area at the Provident Stadium.

Snugpak is supporting homeless charity Centrepoint’s annual Sleep Out event to help raise cash for local homeless people.

The Duke of Cambridge, who is patron of Mountain Rescue England and Wales, and a former search and rescue Sea King helicopter pilot, is also patron of Centrepoint, which supports more than 8,400 homeless young people each year.
