A climber was seriously injured in a fall on a Highland mountain.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was called out on Saturday after the climber suffered head and neck injuries in the incident on the east face of Aonach Mòr.

Nevis Range Ski Patrol joined the rescuers, and an RAF Sea King helicopter from Lossiemouth flew to the site and airlifted the casualty to Belford Hospital in Fort William.

The injured climber was later transferred to a hospital in Glasgow by a Royal Navy Sea King helicopter from HMS Gannet in Ayrshire, which also helped the Lochaber team with two further rescues.
