A mountain rescue team is appealing to walkers and outdoor enthusiasts to be on the lookout for a lost rucksack containing a member’s gear.

Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team said the red pack may have been left in the Clay Bank area this morning.

The team was called out to a rescue and believes the rucksack, containing mountain rescue clothing and personal belongings, may be in the area, on the northern edge of the North York Moors national park, near Great Broughton.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the team, who can be reached via the Cleveland MRT website.

  • UPDATE: a forestry worker in the area has found the missing rucksack and it has been reunited with its owner. The team thanked everyone who helped.
