A walker was rescued after slipping and breaking her ankle at a Yorkshire Dales beauty spot.

The 42-year-old was walking on the Ingleton Waterfalls route today when the incident happened.

The Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out about 2.40pm and went to the scene in Baxenghyll Gorge.

She was treated by rescue team members then stretchered to an ambulance at the main car park of the site.
