Berghaus Hyper jacket

Berghaus Hyper jacket

A minimalist jacket from Berghaus that packs down to the size of an apple goes on sale next month.

The Hyper jacket weighs only 100g, and the women’s version is even lighter, tipping the scales at 70g for a size 12.

The jacket is aimed at trail runners and fast-moving hikers and backpackers, and has a waterproof rating of 15,000mm hydrostatic head and breathability of 10,000g/m2/24hrs. The Hyper is the latest addition to the Sunderland-based brand’s VapourLight high-performance, ultra-lightweight range.

Berghaus said: “The Berghaus Hyper jacket is made out of the brand’s own Hydroshell Hyper fabric. Micro-taping throughout the inside guarantees that this is a waterproof product, while the tough ripstop face delivers great durability for such a light material.
