Robin Millar is a keen hillwalker

Police are appealing for sightings of a hillwalker who was reported missing.

Robin Millar was last seen driving a van near Kincardine in Fife on Friday 5 February.

Police said the 44-year-old is a keen walker and is known to travel to Ullapool and the Isle of Skye.

He was reported missing from Newmills near Dunfermline yesterday.

Sergeant Kirk Donnelly from Dunfermline Police Station, who is leading the inquiry, said: “We are becoming increasing concerned for Robin’s welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen him or his vehicle to contact us.

“I would also urge Robin himself to contact his family or the police if he sees this appeal to let us know he is safe.”

Mr Millar is described as 5ft 9ins (1.75m) tall with a slim build and shaved head. He has a large ginger and white beard and wears glasses.

He was seen driving the Fiat Doblo van, registration number SC51 LWX in Fife just over a week ago.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
