Women's Gravitas jackets were among the items stolen in the raid

An outdoors gear company is asking enthusiasts to be on the lookout for some of its clothing after a break-in at its headquarters.

Nottinghamshire-based Alpkit was raided on Tuesday evening and thieves got away with a number of jackets.

Among the items stolen were women’s waterproof Gravitas and Definition jackets, men’s and women’s synthetic Katabatic and Heiko, and down Filo and Filoment jackets.

An Alpkit spokesperson said: “We have CCTV footage of the incident and the police responded quickly.

“Luckily our stuff is pretty easy to trace as you can only buy it from us. However, it would be great to find who took this stuff before it gets into innocent hands, as we may not be able to back it up with our Alpine Bond guarantees.

“If you do come across anyone selling a number of our jackets, that you think is a bit suss then please get in touch.”

The company can be contacted by email or on 01773 417007.
