A walker was rescued from a remote coastal path in north-west Scotland after suffering an injury.

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team was called out about midday on Tuesday after the walker sustained a lower leg injury on the path between Blughasary and Culnacraig, north of Ullapool.

Three rescue team members went to the aid of the injured walker and the Inverness Coastguard helicopter also flew to the scene in Coigach.

The rest of the group of walkers was helped from the hill and the casualty was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for further treatment.
