Rescuers searching for a missing walker in the Ochil Hills have found a body.

Police Scotland said the woman’s body was found near Dumyat Farm about 2.15pm on Friday.

Rescue teams and police had been searching for 51-year-old Alison Fox of Alloa after she got lost on the hills north of Menstrie, Clackmannanshire, on Thursday.

A police spokesperson said: “No formal identification has taken place at this time. However, the family of Alison are being informed.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
