Police in Lochaber said a body found in Glen Nevis last month was that of a man who was reported missing in 2017.

David Munro, 74, lived in the glen for several years, camping at various locations.

He was reported missing in August last year after he was not seen at his habitual camping sites. His body was found on 8 July this year in Glen Nevis.

Mr Munro was buried today in the glen. Police Scotland said: “His family wish to thank all who were present for their attendance.”

A spokesperson added there were no suspicious circumstances in the man’s death.
