Volunteer mountain rescuers will feature in a new television series following the exploits of emergency workers across Britain.
The first episode of Emergency Rescue: Air, Land and Sea is due to air on More4 on Sunday evening.
Among teams who appear in front of the cameras are Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team and their neighbouring colleagues in the Lake District, the Langdale Ambleside team.
Sunday’s show, which is scheduled to be broadcast at 9pm, includes the rescue of a woman who falls during a charity walk, as well as an incident involving a fisherman at sea and Coastguard members going to the aid of a family and dog stuck in mud in Cornwall.
The second programme details mountain rescuers dealing with campers in trouble on Hart Crag and a climber injured in a 600ft fall.
The one-hour episodes show, More4 said, search and rescue heroes putting their lives on the line to keep us safe, from the Highland mountains to the Lakeland fells and the Cornish Coast.
Episode one is due to be repeated on Monday at 1.05am.

10 September 2020Lets hope this is put across in a way that tells people to prepare before heading onto the hills and not to phone the rescue teams when you could easily walk off the hills yourself.
Maybe they should show a rescue of someone who's fell down the grating. That would persuade people to be more careful.
