Police in the Highlands are appealing for sightings of a woman who has been reported missing.

Officers said Kerry Robertson may have been intending to wild camp in the Fort William area.

The 48-year-old Aberdeen woman, also known as Kerry Allan, was seen buying camping equipment in the Lochaber town on Thursday morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Kerry is known to camp outdoors and has previously travelled throughout Scotland.

“We believe she may be intending to go wild camping but want to ensure her safety and wellbeing after being reported missing.”

She is described as being 4ft 11ins (1.50m) tall and of slim build. She has brown hair but has recently shaved her head.

The spokesperson said: “From CCTV images following police enquiries, we believe she is wearing a black The North Face jacket with jeans and hiking shoes. She is also carrying a black rucksack and has been wearing both a dark beanie hat and a dark baseball cap.”

Anyone who has seen Kerry Robertson in the Fort William area or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 2232 of 27 April.
