A walker has been found safe after spending the night on a Scottish mountain.

The 22-year-old was reported overdue late last night in the Slioch area of the north-west Scotland. Members of two mountain rescue teams began a search of the area around the 980m (3,215ft) mountain at first light today.

Search and Rescue Dogs Association members joined Torridon and Dundonnel Mountain Rescue Teams in the search for the man. A Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth also joined the search, near Achnasheen.
