The Coastguard joined in the search for the missing man

A man’s body has been found by rescuers searching in the Highlands.

Police said they received reports of a missing man in the Poolewe area yesterday, Wednesday. Members of the Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team joined police and Coastguard staff in the search.

A spokesperson for the Northern Constabulary said: “Sadly, the body of a man was recovered earlier today as a result.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
