Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a hillwalker missing for more than a week.

Stewart Sutherland of Glasgow left the Great Glen Water Park, on the banks of Loch Oich, near Invergarry on 20 September and has not been seen since.

A spokesperson for Northern Constabulary said 52-year-old Mr Sutherland, described as 6ft 3in (1.91m), well built with short wavy sandy coloured hair which is going grey, is believed to have gone hillwalking, but the location is not known.

They are also keen to trace his red Peugeot 206 car, with the registration number S7 WRT.

Police say they are increasingly concerned for the walker’s welfare. He was last seen leaving the water park a week yesterday.

Anyone with information about Mr Sutherland’s whereabouts or sightings of his car is asked to contact Northern Constabulary on 0845 6005703.
