Meanwhile a major search took place nearby for a walker missing since 20 September. 52-year-old Glasgow man Stewart Sutherland was last seen at the Great Glen Water Park, on the banks of Loch Oich, near Invergarry and was believed to have set out to go hillwalking.

Rescuers from the Kintail, Skye and RAF Kinloss Mountain Rescue Teams took part in a search beginning at 7am on Thursday and continuing through the day across a large area stretching from near the Five Sisters of Kintail towards Glen Affric. Sarda dogs and a Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth searched without success for Mr Sutherland.
