A walker was rescued after collapsing on a Lakeland fell.

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out about 12.50pm today when the 67-year-old woman got into difficulties near the pump house at Hayeswater reservoir.

The team assessed her at the scene and she was then taken in one of the Patterdale team’s Land Rovers to a waiting ambulance which took her for treatment at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
