Police are appealing to walkers to be on the lookout for keen walker who has gone missing in the Highlands.

Neil Kendall has not been seen since he left work in Aviemore on Friday.

The 64-year-old works as a night porter at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort and left a shift on Friday.

He did not turn up for his rostered shifts on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Police said they are concerned for Mr Kendall’s wellbeing, as he has a medical condition.

He is described as white with a weathered complexion, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins (1.73m to 1.78m), average to slim build, balding hair and grey beard and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black and red jacket, Dr Marten’s boots, navy trousers and a white shirt. He also wears glasses

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said: “Mr Kendall is a keen walker and may be out walking and dressed for such activity.”

Anyone who may have seen Mr Kendall is urged to contact police in Aviemore on 01479 810222.
