A man who went missing in the Highlands has been found safe and well.
John Riach had been due to walk the Burma Road from Carrbridge to Aviemore yesterday, but the 22-year-old made off from his carer.
A search was organised for the man, described by police as ‘extremely vulnerable’.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, an RAF search and rescue crew, RAF mountain rescue teams and Northern Constabulary all took part in a search for Mr Riach.
A police spokesperson said: “He was traced close to Carrbridge.
“Northern Constabulary would like to thank all the persons who responded to assist with the search.”
