Police in the Hebrides said a mountain rescue operation is underway after a walker fell and injured himself.

Mountain rescue team members have been joined by the RAF in the incident on the Cuillin range on Skye.

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said: “Further updates will be issued as information becomes available.”
