Rescuers are continuing their search in worsening conditions for a walker who fell from one of Scotland’s most challenging ranges.

A member of the public reported seeing the 60-year-old fall yesterday about 2.30pm in the Cuillin mountains on Skye.

Police said they believe the walker is injured.

Members of the Skye and Kintail Mountain Rescue Teams have been searching with members of the police, Search and Rescue Dogs Association and an RAF Sea King helicopter.

The search began yesterday and was suspended in the early hours of today, resuming at 7.30 this morning.

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said: “Conditions in the area are worsening and the forecast is poor. The man’s family are being kept informed of the circumstances.”
