The Wasdale team was called out to help the injured Scafell walker

A walker was rescued after falling on England’s second-highest mountain.

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said the young male took a tumble fall on Scafell and injured his head.

Team members made their way to the incident and the walker was treated for minor injuries and hypothermia before being stretchered from Scafell back to Wasdale where he was handed over to a waiting ambulance.

The Wasdale team was also called to help the Langdale Ambleside team in its search for the missing Crinkle Crags walker reported elsewhere on grough, but he was found uninjured before the team left its base.
