A rescue team was called out to help two climbers in separate incidents.

Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association was alerted after a climber fell while soloing on Rylstone Crag in Wharfedale at 9pm on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old suffered suspected back injuries in the fall.

The team treated him at the scene and a team Land Rover took him to a waiting ambulance.

And on Saturday, a 24-year-old man fell while scrambling on Brimham Rocks in Nidderdale.

UWFRA members were called out to the climber, who suffered suspected back and pelvic injuries.

He was freed from his position and stretchered to an air ambulance which flew him to hospital for further treatment.
