Police are appealing for information after a tent was found abandoned in the north-west Highlands.
The grey and orange tent appears to be in a good condition, they said.
It was found to the north-west of Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair in the Beinn Eighe national nature reserve in Torridon.
Police Scotland said anyone with information about the ownership of the tent should contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

29 July 2013I spoke to the police (having seen the tent last Saturday) and got told they've located him: he's a geologist who's heading up and down the hill over the course of the week. Sounds like all's well.

30 July 2013it may have been a good idea to fix a laminated Personal Details card and contact tel no inside the tent, prehaps with the persons intentions for being there.
