A walker was rescued after getting stuck on steep ground on a Lake District Fell.

Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out about 10.45am today to aid the walker, from Warwickshire, who had become cragfast on Rannerdale Knotts, overlooking Crummock Water.

Team members found the walker and guided the hillgoer to safety in the valley.

The incident involved 30 volunteers from the team.
