Police are appealing to walkers for sightings of a man who has gone missing in the Highlands.

Jerome Richmond is believed to have gone hillwalking in Wester Ross, but has not been seen for 10 days.

The 27-year-old, originally from Middlesbrough, was last seen getting on a bus at Edinburgh, heading for Inverness, on Thursday 28 April.

Police Scotland said: “It is understood that he intended to walk from the Ben Wyvis area to Ullapool. However there has been no contact or sight of him since.”

When last seen he was wearing a black windproof jacket, black hillwalking trousers and brown boots. He may be wearing a yellow t-shirt, a rucksack which is black and grey in colour, and may have a tent wrapped in a red cover.

Police said: “Anyone in the area, in particular hillwalkers, who have seen or been in contact with Jerome, or anyone who has seen a male matching his description, is asked to contact Police on 101.”
