Christopher Green has been reported missing again

A man who sparked a Lake District manhunt after being seen on the fells with a bloodied face 15 months ago has gone missing again.

Cumbria police appealed for sightings of Christopher Green, who has not been seen since before Christmas.

The 23-year-old was last seen in Colchester, Essex, on 19 December 2016. Cumbria Constabulary said: “Christopher has family in Cumbria and Kent; there is no further indication as to where he could currently be.”

In October 2015, a search was mounted after he was seen with blood on his face by a member of the public on the fells above Seathwaite in Borrowdale. Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out and searched the fellside without success.

The missing man was eventually found safe, 300 miles away in London.

Police in Cumbria again appealed for anyone who has seen Mr Green, who is described as white, 6ft 2ins (1.88m), of slim build with close-cropped dark brown hair, to contact them on 101.

They also pleaded with the missing man to contact them to confirm he is safe and well if he sees the appeal.
