Police have named the man who died after falling from a munro in the Mamores on Sunday.
Richard Armstrong of Cumbria fell about 30m into a gorge on Stob Bàn.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team went to the site in severe weather conditions as Storm Dennis lashed the area’s mountains, but Mr Armstrong’s injuries proved fatal.
His body was brought from the mountain in a six-hour operation involving 19 volunteers from the mountain rescue team.
Police Scotland said: “Our thoughts are with Richard’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
