A couple were rescued after getting stuck on a Lake District fell.

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out about 6.45pm on Monday to aid the two walkers.

The pair, from Harrow in Greater London, became cragfast while making their way down the fell above Deepdale Hall.

A team spokesperson said: “Team members ascended to their location and walked the pair off the fell before returning them to their car.”

The two-hour rescue involved 17 volunteers from Patterdale MRT.
