David Whiteman was last seen in the Cairn Toul area

Police are appealing for help finding a man who has gone missing in the Cairngorms.

David Whiteman was last seen in the area of Cairn Toul at 2pm on Friday.

Police Scotland said Mr Whiteman, 62, is a white male, 6ft 2ins (1.88m) tall, wearing a black Berghaus jacket and carrying a black rucksack with a yellow rain cover. Officers added he usually wears glasses.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote incident number 1624 of 9 October 2021, or speak to any officer.
