Police have named the woman who died after falling from cliffs in Easter Ross on Wednesday.

Elizabeth McFall, 47, of Invergowrie, Dundee, fell about 9m (30ft) down sea cliffs near the Tarbat Ness lighthouse, Portmahomack. The administrator, originally from Northern Ireland, was walking with her partner at the time.

She suffered serious head injuries in the fall and died in the early hours of the morning the following day in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said: “A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
