Edale Mountain Rescue Team members with the casualty at the reservoir site

A walker was rescued after falling down the bank of a reservoir and injuring her leg.

Members of Edale Mountain Rescue Team were called yesterday about 11.30am to help the woman after she slipped while walking at Linacre Reservoir country park near Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

The woman was treated at the scene by a paramedic from the East Midlands Ambulance Service for a knee injury and rescuers carried her by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.

The walker was then taken to hospital in Chesterfield for further treatment. The incident was the mountain rescue team’s 37th of the year.
